As is described in various places in Using the Software, Strategy SAVI® includes a number of standard reporting modes which can easily be modified by the use of various filters. However many of the reports and queries required for a specific architecture project may be based on the detail of user defined detail data and this approach may prove inadequate. Given the use of the full version of Paradox, almost any combination of items and their relations can be queried and reported and demonstrations of this capability can be provided.

Standard reports provided are:

Sphere

Sphere Report - lists the details of items in a selected sphere including the contents of any notes. The items reported may be restricted by setting a variety of filters based on sequence code, level and content. A single item only is reported from the Sphere Review form while complete sets of items are reported from other sources.

Short Sphere Report - lists the details of items in a selected sphere including the contents of any notes. The items reported may be restricted by setting a variety of filters based on sequence code, level and content. This report is produced in a a restricted format intended to capture the information in minimum space.

Related Items Report - lists the details of items in a base sphere and shows a list of related items in a second, selected sphere. The items reported in the base sphere may be restricted by setting a variety of filters based on sequence code, level and content.

Flow Report - lists the component items in a flow showing the relations between them which make up the flow.

Relations

Relations Report - lists the details of all the item pairs (relations) for a selected relationship including the attributes and notes for the relation. The relations reported may be restricted by setting filters based on the sequence codes of the from item and the relation values between the pairs.

Cascade Report - provides a means of tracking relationships through a chain of up to five related spheres. It includes means of restricting the items reported for any sphere in the chain and can report recursive relations in the forward or inverse direction.

It is not intended to define the full range of Paradox query and reporting facilities in this document. You should consult your software supplier if specific extra facilities are required or an experienced Paradox user if one is available. Ad hoc queries can only be prepared in the full version of Paradox for Windows, not in RunTime as supplied. An alternative approach is to use Sequel Server to channel the Strategy SAVI® database into other reporting software.
