Bob Jarvis - Founder and Chairman

Bob has now retired after over 50 years in what is now called "IT". However he still takes a very active interest in the technology, writing a lot (see his blog) and continuing to advise key clients worldwide.

bulletActive in the development of networking standards e.g. Participant in IEEE 802.5 token ring working group, Vice Chair of IEEE 802.1 working group 2000-2005 producing the 802.1X and other standards.
bulletAt Cisco Systems, responsible for the architecture of IPv4, IPv6 and MPLS forwarding control and data planes. Helped produce the common software code base that can run on small home and office routers to the largest internet backbone devices. Member of the IOS architecture team overseeing next-generation features and infrastructure initiatives, driving innovation within the IOS software group.

 Current Status

Bob takes a back seat now, but still advises a few key clients, public bodies and academic institutions. He continues to develop our methods and tools even further.

Bob's son, Neil, joined the firm in 2006 and will assume full control in due course as Bob winds down fully and his own, extensive client workload allows.

Our Co-founder Geof Carrington is now happily retired and lives in Texas with his wife, Wendy.
