Construction of the MenuThe menu is constructed as a tabbed notebook of four pages which contain the controls for handling spheres and relations, for schema definition and matrix manipulation and for system related operations. On arrival, the page for spheres is displayed but you can select any page by clicking its tab. Facilities AvailableOn the Sphere page, you can click a radio button to choose one of five possible form types, described in detail below. The Relations page shows a map of all possible relationships indicated by a set of connecting lines between spheres. Here you can click a radio button for the form type, a left hand sphere button for the "from" sphere and a right hand button for the "to" sphere. After choosing a from sphere the set of relationships will be reduced to those which apply to the chosen sphere. Once it has been clicked, the "from" sphere button remains set until you click a different one. The Facilities page contains a set of discrete buttons, each of which calls the named facility except for the Manipulate Matrix facility which is activated by making a choice of matrix type from one of a set of radio buttons. Facilities include schema definition, the various matrix operations, diagram management and transfer between projects. Finally, the System page contains facilities for customising the various messages displayed by the system, for validating the project schema and for reviewing the content of the project. |
