DefinitionYou can change the brief help messages displayed at the top right of each form according to the requirements of your user environment to reflect local terminology etc. This should be carried out with some care and ideally synchronised for all users in the environment. However, the table is constructed in such a way that the original messages are preserved and it is possible to undo any changes which may prove not to be satisfactory. Using the FacilityFrom the system page of the main menu, click the HelpCard Review button. This will display the HelpCard manager form, showing all of the current set of brief messages which are in use. To amend a message, simply enter your preferred version. However, You should note that many messages have multiple uses and that a change will apply across all of them. To check the full usage of a message before changing it, you should double click any field of the target message. this will display the "where used" table on top of the messages table, showing the detailed usage of the message in terms of the forms and objects within forms which use it. These are presented using the internal development names of the objects and, at present, further information can only be got from the software supplier. (See the form names list.) |
